Picasso loved to visit Arles and held a close affection for the city. In 1971 he composed a series of 57 wonderful drawings which he later donated to the City. This collection is on public display at the Musée Réattu. Also in the collection are a portrait of Picasso's mother and a painting of a friend, Lee Miller.
